DESCRIPTION: French marjoram (or sweet marjoram) essential oil comes from Egypt and Turkey, where it was considered a sign of happiness. Extraction method: steam distillation Plant part: leaves Aroma: light and herbaceous Fragrance family: herbaceous INGREDIENTS: 100% leaf oil Origanum majorana (marjoram). Naturally occurring allergens: limonene and linalool. DIRECTIONS FOR USE: In a vaporiser: add 6 to 8 drops of essential oil to a vaporiser or burner. Inhalation: add 3 to 5 drops of essential oil to a bowl of very hot water, inhale the vapours for 5 to 10 minutes. (Inhalation only for children over 10 years of age.) For massage: dilute 5 drops of essential oil with 10 ml of a carrier oil such as almond or jojoba oil. Bath: add 4 to 6 drops of essential oil to 20 ml of carrier oil. Mix into the water. CONTRAINDICATIONS: For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Do not apply directly to the skin. Not for children under 5 years of age.
